About Us

Lois A. Potter has a Bachelor of General Studies degree from Athabasca University and a Bachelor of Laws degree from University of Alberta.   Lois was a legal assistant in Alberta for ten years before attending law school and did real estate, corporate, commercial, wills and estates work during this time.  After graduation from law school, Lois became an associate at Martinson & Harder in Olds, Alberta.  In fall of 2008 Lois joined Hugh Jones at Jones & Whiteley in Sechelt, British Columbia.  Hugh Jones retired December 31, 2009 and Lois is now the sole practitioner at this office. Lois’ practice focus is on business law, real estate, wills and estates.

Spencer Keys is an associate with the firm, practicing real estate, wills and estates, and business law. Spencer graduated from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia (UBC).  He also holds a philosophy degree and a graduate diploma in accounting from UBC.  In law school, he received the Freedom of Expression Writing Prize from the Canadian Media Lawyers Association and the Dalton Camp Award from the Friends of Canadian Broadcasting for his writing on defamation law.  Prior to law school, Spencer worked in the fields of public policy and government relations in Halifax, Victoria and Ottawa.  Spencer, his family and dog, Charlie, have moved to the Sunshine Coast and look forward to being part of the community.
